My Atom freewheel looks almost exactly like this one: https://i.ebayimg.com/images/g/u0IAA...CF/s-l1600.jpg

500 miles later, I've reviewed my P8 for YouTube! I'm planning to overhaul the bottom bracket and wheel hubs as soon as possible.

Welp, some very bad news. I have a question about replacing the cranks and bottom bracket on my P8. While overhauling the BB last night, I was only able to pull off the drive side crank. The non drive side crank was stripped and stuck on the spindle (probably stripped from the last attempt at maintenance). Would you recommend replacing it with something like a SR Silstar crank and sealed cartridge bottom bracket? I know the existing crank has 52 and 42T chainrings, a 120mm BB length, and 122mm BCD. I think the Silstar is 118mm BCD but I am not sure. The cranks for both are 170mm.

Also, are cheaper melt forged Solida cranks known to be bad quality?

Thanks in advance.

Great news. Not only did I replace the crank and bottom bracket (with a Sugino steel/alloy hybrid and a VP-BC73, respectively), but I've now ridden the P8 from BWI to Annapolis and on a metric century! It's super comfortable and keeps on going! It may have had the chain snap from BWI to Annapolis in Severna Park, thankfully fixed with chain link removed, and the old Kenda tires may have developed sidewall bulges in the rear, but thanks to some new tires I just rode it 75 miles today! Pictures soon.
