Stronglight Impact crankset from Ribble... very pleasantly surprised. Very nice aluminum Stronglight chainrings, and it came as 5 arm instead of the 4 arm shown on the website, which I think looks better. Very good deal, tempted to stock up on a few more for future projects. Also got some Fyzik bar tape. Took a while to get through this time, usually I get Ribble stuff in a week or so but this time it was more than two.

Here it is on my Miyata Triplecross (built it up today, finally got all the parts)

I like the face mask on the helmet. Actually, I think it is a pretty cool helmet.

Perfect place for it. And, with summer temperatures going down, it is time for gravel grinding. Probably this weekend.

I dunno, but that's how it came to me - that 20 year-old Campy stuff (ergos, wheelset, RD) looks like it was virtually unused, seller said it was on his Bianchi but he went fixed. I presume that his Bianchi had no braze-on hanger. Incidentally, I appear to require a different mounting bolt + small part(s) to mount it directly on a braze-on hanger. It seems to fit, now that I've replaced the bolt in the mounting hardware that attaches at the dropout. So it's going into service with the claw:

Sachs photos! I can't wait to see it - I don't know what it is about Sachs bikes, but they just speak to me. My Sachs roadie is the nicest conventional tubing bike I've been on.

The Ellis is beautiful.
