my wife suffered from foot cramping quite often. She started using Bob's Pickle Pops before every ride and that eliminated that issue.

For chronic leg cramping especially at night check your Hydration and Electrolytes. Keeping your legs warm and compression leggings can help. At onset of a major cramp chew three Hylands tablets. Consider eliminating Aspartame, Phenylalanine, and Sucralose from your diet.

Hylands leg cramp tablets have Cinchona Bark. One of the few sources left for Quinine Sulfate.

use Morton Lite salt instead of regular salt.

Regular Salt: 590 grams of sodium per serving

Morton Lite: 290 grams of sodium 350 grams potassium.

and you can use it for DIY gatorade.

Ever since I read about it a few years ago, I've kept mustard powder in my kitchen for an after-ride attack or a sachet of wasabi paste in my on-bike bag for an attack while riding. When the cramp hits I dump some of the stuff on my tongue. So far it has worked without fail.

I carry take out packages of yellow mustard on long rides. Initially I thought it was a joke when friends told me to suck mustard when you feel a cramp coming but I’ve tried it and it works!

V8 juice
Heat
Theraworx (as a last resort)

Cramps don't mean you rode too many miles today, they probably mean you rode too few miles in the last 3 months.

Wow, I never knew mustard would cure muscle cramps, I have to try that one.

Some people, like me, have to be careful with drinking stuff like pickle juice, the salt content is very high, which on the surface would seem like a good idea unless you have problems with kidney stones, then it's not a good idea! If you think cramps are painful wait until you get a kidney stone, then you'll know what true pain is!! I'm not sure why, but I'm the only person in my family history that has been blessed with the occasional kidney stone, I've had about a dozen of them, I now watch my salt content, even how much I get from hydration drinks, because I think I may have been consuming too much while on rides. So I've backed off a lot on hydration drinks, dark leafy veggies, pickles, or anything else with an abundance of salt.

Stretching helps quite a bit with cramps, but you need to stretch before riding, then repeat if you feel the slightest hint of a cramp while riding, yeah that means stopping the ride for about 5 minutes and stretch that area. If you let the cramp get out of control you could be hurting for several days, so it's better to stop in the middle of the ride for 5 minutes or so then it is to stop riding for several days.

More like a treatment than a cure. Best to try to figure out what causes the cramps in the first place. One cause can be dehydration during exercise.

While riding a 200k in northern New Mexico (Strava link) I've had both quads simultaneously spasm HARD during a big day of fast riding and a fair amount of climbing behind two other riders who were much stronger and much lighter than I, so I spent too much time putting out big efforts trying to not get dropped and didn't focus on my hydration like I knew I should have. Once it happened, I stopped and unclipped, but then I couldn't get off the bike since both legs were soooo locked up and in excruciating pain, that I had to let myself fall over onto the ground gracefully and I just laid there for 30 minutes watching my muscles writhe and twitch while the other riders went up Capulin Volcano without me (though they got rained out and couldn't make it to the top, which made me feel a little less bad about not attempting it). I learned a life lesson about hydration that day, that's for sure.
