Place to donate cycling stuff?
I have a good friend who is sadly no longer with us. He was a triathlete and has a decent amount of cycling gear (jerseys, bibs, shoes, etc - no bike) that his wife would like to donate. Can anyone recommend a place or group in SoCal that can make use of or find worthy recipients of this kind of stuff? Thanks.

Around here, the thrift stores (Goodwill, St. Vincent de Paul, etc) will sell cycling gear.
The bike co-op will also take it, but for some reason doesn't seem to deal with clothing items very well.
On the other hand, spare components, tools, etc... are perhaps best for the co-op.

Try the Bicycle Tree in Santa Ana, if you live in or near OC.

The local velodromes (San Diego, Encino, and probably Carson too) have youth programs, and they are always appreciative of clothing (especially shoes) since they're constantly growing out of it.
