Does the person in the middle get sick of relaying bits of conversation between the front and rear riders?

I've seen a quintuple at several events. Husband, wife and a gaggle of young girls. Quite a team!

Is it 33% more difficult? Is it 33% faster?

I used to have a Co-Motion triplet. When we first got it, my wife and oldest girl would be on the triplet with me, and our youngest daughter was on a trail-a-bike attached at the rear. I used to tell folks I had to get a parade permit to ride it in town....

We did have a good time, with it, including a couple of "Hotter n' Hell Hundreds." But as older teen girls (the oldest now heading off to university), they no longer wanted to go out as a threesome with Dad. We do still have a couple of tandems though, so all is not lost.
