Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

We had an equipment upgrade this year; the poll workers had tablets for checking in voters.

I ended up making a sammich out of leftover Tri-tip. I did manage to choke it down.

But we have a double verbal confirmation with two (more often than not quite elderly) election volunteers, one reading the name and address off of my ID and visually confirming on the registry, the other confirming by reading another copy of the registry; and then I manually sign the registry. It takes some time, and I have to be at work by seven, with a twenty minute commute.

We were lucky where I live. Zeta was the worst for us this year, and I think Atlanta had an even worse time of it with that one. Southwest LA is in some trouble, though.
The marigold jacket must be getting some use now!

What a convoluted mess. Anyway it doesn't explain why you didn't vote in Chittenango, or Cazevonia, assuming you still live there.
How many non-decisive votes have been cast since 1842?

The Village of Chittenango is in the Town of Sullivan. The Sullivan Free Library is in the Village of Chittenango. I do not live in the Village of Chittenango, but my mail is delivered by the Chittenango post office.

Does that clear things up?

When we go to Five Guys, we just get 2 'regular' fries and dump the bag on a plate in the middle of the table. We ordered 2 larges once. That was almost more fries than the 4 of us could eat!

Almost.

Towns and Villages in New York left me mystified when I live in Ithaca.

Bummer

I got 25 in. Pretty lame to start a ride that short a little after 4:00 and come home in the dark.

I was also reminded again how much I don't like my front light

While reposting the car closer to the house this morning I heard about sandwich day. Forgot about it when shopping after work but ended up buying stuff for smoked trout sandwiches. Mind blown.

I rode the mtb today on a fire road route of about 18 miles and 2700 feet of climbing. I don't wear a mask while riding and the hikers along the route put theirs on when they see me coming. The road is wide enough so I'm not really close to them and usually away from them in a couple seconds.
I was descending and a group of 4 geezers about my age was spread out across the road and when they heard me 1 went left and the others went right. I slowed and waved as I passed and lefty yelled something about a mask. I ignored him and kept going. I don't know why he felt the need to say anything.
