Oyama CX E8 D I Foldable Ebike
Hi,
I have an Oyama ebike circa 2018, that I got from a friend.
Everything works great except for the electrical.
The hole where the charger plugs into on the bike had some green residue around it.
Cleaned it out with a tool. After about 30 seconds.....a spark !!!
Put it on a charger for about 3 hours. Still doesn't work.
Any ideas ?
Probably going to sell

Not one of those...they pretty much all had issues at some point or another. I don't think we had the sparking but if it is sparking I probably wouldn't want to charge it and potentially start a fire, sparks are not good. You can try cleaning all the connections with isopropyl alcohol and make sure there is nothing on the charger but it may need some parts.

It was $899 new. Worth about $200 in my opinion w/o a working battery.
While these batteries are probably available on aliexpress, China;s ebay for around $300, it's sure hard to identify them, and even harder to figure out if they're any good.
