Vintage Holdsworth Bike in White ...

..... any Holdsworth enthusiasts on here? I would like to know where I can find a neat gallery of vintage Holdsworth bikes so I can identify a Holdsworth on sale?

It looks like some Holdsworth bikes aren't worth that much - this has a 531 frame - and white in colour with black lettering - plus a Shimano 105 rear mech - I will upload the (dirty) pictures of it soon ...

Holdsworth (1976) / (1982) / (1938 - 1987 plus more information)

...I wouldn't get too fixated on the components, which are probably something that were added to a frame.
Likewise, these often get repainted, so the color isn't usually a good indicator, unless you're sure it hasn't been repainted.

Many of them were sold as framesets, so that further complicates things.
FWIW, that looks like an authentic headbadge from Holdsworth.

OK so this could be a bit of a mish-mash then?

...it looks that way to my eye. That's not to say it's not a great frame. It might very well be. It's just going to be hard to identify exactly.
Even if it is repainted, people don't generally use good graphics and tubing stickers like that, unless it was a pretty OK frame.

White is an easy color to use in repainting, if indeed, that it the case here. I have no idea whether it is or not.

You can tell whether it's butted tubing froma personal inspection, and the seatpost diameter tells you something about the frame tubing as well. YOu can't tell very much from photographs, IME.

My late 1972 Holdsworth Professional. The fork, chain stay and seat stay (chrome socks) and seat stay wrap are all different from yours.

...much more likely to be something like a Holdsworth Special. Still fine riding bicycles.
