2000 Serotta CSI questions
I recently bought a 2000 Serotta CSI and have a couple of questions to fellow Serotta owners and others about the bike. From looking at other CSI's of that era, it seems like this bike has what might be a record 6 pairs of red Serotta decals. I don't know the history of the bike but could it possibly be a custom ordered bike with that number of decals specified? I believe the pearl frost white paint was an extra cost item.
It also has the Serotta titanium seatpost, and though I've seen the titanium and carbon seatposts I have yet to see a bike with the full titanium seatpost. Is this somewhat of a rarity or fairly common?
Thanks in advance for any insight into my questions.

I have a 2000 Serotta Atlanta. Mine only has four sets of Serotta script decals, but one of those sets replaces the Atlanta decals on the top tube.
Nice looking CSI, BTW.

My Serotta is a bit older, but it only has "Serotta" decals on the downtube and chainstays. Notice, though, that the polka dots are under the decals. There was at least one other bike like this, and I've been told that they were available like this from Serotta. I don't know what the ordering process was like, but apparently buyers had some options.

Thanks for the photo of and information about your Serotta. It's definitely a unique design and seems to illustrate the lengths the Serotta shop would go to satisfy customers. While not as imaginative as your bike's design, I think it may explain why my bike has the more than usual number of sets of Serotta decals. It just adds to the fun of owning and collecting this great American builder.
