What front derailleur for Sugino XD Pro 34/48 on 1975 Dawes Super Galaxy??
Right, so after much neglect of this forum which is probably because my 1975 Dawes Super Galaxy has been so reliable and have not needed any strange advice for a long time!
I have recently installed a Sugino XD Pro (https://www.yellowjersey.org/crankcut.html) with 34/48 rings on. The problem is simply what derailleur can I use with this?
My Compe-V Suntour ‘Spirt’ mechanism with Dia-Compe Compe-V just won't shift from the small to large ring on the new crankset!
I need a bottom pull 28.6mm band-on type but have no idea what is available.
Please help me out as I want to get this awesome bicycle back on the road for commuting to the job I am starting soon!

Thanks Wazzubiker
Has a look on eBay, theres really not that much it terms of Suntour stuff, hmmm, and I bet the Superbe Pro FD would cost a bomb! Found it on Yellow Jersery just now for $90! and I've got to pay shipping from US too, ouch! I don't think I can afford that route but thankyou anyway for letting me know what you're running with.
But if I do find one of those FD's going cheap I'm on it like wild fire!
Guys, is there any derailleurs that could just do the job and wouldn't be a problem in finding?
Cheers

I tried moving the derailleur up and down with also taking the limit screw out fully so that it had full movement to the outer chainring (larger one) but to no avail. It just needed that one bit more to move the chain across.
Heck, I'll try again with derailleur tomorrow because I need some sleep! Most of you guys are way back on the clock,,,,,,
