1994 MB-1 find

Here it is, correctly outed here when I asked if we thought it could be a Stumpy but no, 2-3 posts in, Bridgestone MB-1, 1994,10th Anniversary, Ritchey designed bi-plane fork crown, lugged Tange Prestige, a bit smaller than I thought but cool as heck.

Bonus round, fork crown, paint to match pump and bottles from the Strawberry, very close to the same, depending on the light, win, win.

Beautiful. I think the paint and lack of decals actually makes it look classier. Phil hubs don’t hurt, either.

I'd trade 5 nice bikes for this, wow. The Conquest is also my fave saddle of all time.

Those brakes work very well for me, not really a MTB rider so all pavement so far but I like the feel and effectiveness of them.

Tx!

I need to change out the SP again to get more back weighted tilt, I like the Conquest too, its my first sprung saddle that may get ridden more, we'll see.

Beautiful example. I, too, like the non-stickered look. Elegance via simplicity. And the paint. I'm not a fan of red, normally, but this is more of a darker Burgundy-ish (perhaps what Mazda might call their "Merlot" color). Nice. Chris King, Phil, Brooks ... nice little collection of parts.

Don't be silly, nothing can help me with serious climbing.

and I'm not impressed with the Huret so far, it works ok and I likely need to learn the adjustment curve for it so we'll see.

Yep, pump was just for pics, no peg to hold it there and it will live on the Strawberry as intended.

Tx!

Somewhat agree on the lack of decals but this will get them eventually, MB-1's are to iconic to go without livery imo.

Pump is Honda/Acura Basque red basecoat, wasn't my choice but has grown on me.

Similar to that Miata 95M "Merlot" paint color I mentioned earlier.

I get it but being this iconic, I think they need to be able to be recognized when seen, seems like some folks don't want to take your word for it even if you can just put any decals you want on anything.

Phil on the front only, XT something on the back.

Seller has a stash of Phil's but may not have had any that would take a cassette, need to inquire.

He offered them up for sale as well so must have a few.

Would be far cooler to have a set on this.
