Fly12 issues-- shuts off after 5 mintues
I have a C2, a couple of years old, and just updated the firmware. It shuts off after 5 minutes of use. Hard resetting does not help. I have idle off, and incident on. All other lighting features are normal. Before I did the "firmware that possibly f-ed this thing up", I had picture issues. Those got resolved, but now there's this. Is it toast? I can't ride with lights that last 5 minutes and then shut off.
cycliq in their continued horrible customer service, will be of no help.
Options or other products? I'm tired of their lack of support.

Just wildly supposing here... Idle mode shutoff is supposed to be 15 minutes. But I'd probably go into the config file and turn it off just to see if that is part of the issue or not.
Have you googled to see if there are any forums or facebook groups still active that might have more cycliq users to answer your question?

Try also turning incident off.
I wonder if that brand shares customer service with Drift?

well, about 3/4 of the time, when I turn it on, it doesn't even bother recording, but shows the lights going. It still shuts off after 5 minutes, no matter what I do. It was this setting for like, forever. Now, it's an issue.
The picture is back to sucking, so it wasn't the firmware change after all.
It never changes.. It always shuts off after 5 minutes.
the on/off button is missing.
It's about ready to go into the trashcan , after I take a hammer to it.....

I've looked for support groups. I only get cycliqs website, not much else. Their site, of course, isn't much help. My problem requires a trouble ticket, which they won't do anything about. If they do, I'd be shocked.

As fooferdoggie says, you ought to try formatting the TFcard or whatever it uses. And possibly just getting a new one. I've found with other devices, a lot of silly issues do seem to come down to the TFcard or what others refer to as the SDcard.
Speed category of the cards particularly can be an issue, as well, some popular brands of cards don't seem to have much longevity of useful life before they start to go bad.
