Help ID This Colnago

My new SIL just received pictures of a wedding gift from his step dad. I’m guessing an 81-82 Super but ?

LOW Mileage Wall Hanger!

Edit. It is his size!

the crimped tubes point to a Superissimo.
This interval I don't like so much, the Colnago stamping on the chainstays is too far forward, a Design, mfg error in my book.
addressed later.

No chromed lugs so not a Superissimo.
Sloping crown and lack of chainstay bridge points to a ~1984 Super.

Jeff, I think I see a set of crimps on the top tube and one either side of down tube. I think Nuovo Mexico had 4 crimps on down tube, but the Super Profil info matches this one as far as I can tell

Very nice looking bike and I hope it fits you also, so you can test ride it!

IIRC 82/83 was when the CS caps changed from fluted to flat. The decals also changed about that time period.

Nice bike with the deep drops.
Superissimo from 1983 (based on RD Pat).

Super Profil V2, that fits, but really don't like the stamped COLNAGO on the chainstays so far forward. Lazy and lack of care. They later moved them aft where the complete text could be read and not partially hidden behind the big ring.
One reason I did not follow them too closely in this era of Colnago. From the Ernesto on autopilot period.

Cool. Profil V3 since no CS bridge. Likely purchased in Italy where previous and original owner spends a lot of time with family.

I won the auction on eBay for this late eighties Superissimo, I think is the frame model, $916 with sales tax and free shipping.
Only these three auction pictures, the auction ended today, and I paid eBay. no tracking number yet, and delivery next week.
I thought the auction would go higher, but I don't really know very much. I'm happy with what I can see and guess at, wasn't much written description. The size was listed at 56cm, but I can see it's more like 58cm, might be the dark blue metallic solid color at the neck.
This thread wasn't very old so I thought it would be OK to add these pictures.
