40x622 Continental contact urban tyres reflective strip

Seems like Continenral German made 40×622 tyres come without reflective strips for some reason despite the requirement to have them in Germany. Never stumbled upon anyone else mentioning it in discussions or reviews.
The one pictured on resistance testing website had the reflective strip despite also being 40x622.

Mine doesn't have. Was about to put on some 37x622 on the rear and 40x622 on the front for marginally better braking, comfort and grip. Now waiting for 42x622 but that might be too big for the fenders.

Many companies around the world will sell different products to different markets and might have something for their own domestic market as well. All around the world helmets are different for instance and in Australia you can get in trouble for not having the right helmet even if you have a good CSPC approved helmet that is in great shape relatively new it doesn't matter you could potentially get in trouble for having it.

In terms of tires some have the "Reflex" and some don't just look for the tire you want with Reflex which is the Conti designation as far as I can remember. I haven't bought Conti tires in a while it was the Travel Contacts years ago but they have lasted so long that I haven't needed to replace them and have been running other tires on other bikes.

The Conti website does show that tire as Reflex only. Maybe OP happened upon some old stock.
