Did a 40 with 2000’ climbing around a local lake. Did a mix of tarmac, gravel and MUPs. Managed 15 PRs which was a good day out. Legs are toast, so tomorrow is a gardening day.

39 miles for me today. Rode into Portland to meet some coworkers for my 2 year anniversary lunch. Met them at the office, we rode to lunch. Back to office, and then I had to make the trip back home.

30 miles. Almost taken out by a raccoon today running in front of me while doing 27 down a hill (me, not the raccoon). Missed it by a 10th of a second.
Another rider coming the other way saw it, shook his head and said ‘amazing’. I am one lucky f.

65 miles before the heat and humidity really started to take it's toll. Was shooting for 80, but had to call it early. I started at 6:30 and by 8:30 once the sun got higher in the sky, the heat index was almost 100... just oppressive.

Yea it's been pretty miserable all week, I stayed inside and did roughly 160. They only thing that could have made it worse would have been wind, but the wind was non-existent until about 5 pm. Heat Index will be getting steadily worse toward the middle of next week on through the next 10 days. Tomorrow and Monday, about 102, Tuesday through next Monday, 105 to 110 and no rain until Wed. Will be indoors riding for me, but I will have to venture out at some point to do the yard work, of which I am not looking forward to, so will probably suffer through it tomorrow.

Those were my views yesterday along with Medina, the arboretum, around Mercer Island and back to Bellevue. The weather was perfect, just like today.

Got in 16.2 today, but that was walking..... behind a mower, weed eater, edger, hedge trimming, blowing off the clippings, raking up the leaves and bagging. It was miserably hot. I mixed up some of my Tailwind endurance mix into 3 24 oz bottles and consumed those as I worked so my wife would not find me passed out for lack of hydration and electrolytes. Going to make some fish taco's for dinner. My eldest son caught caught a 45 lb cobia today, and dropped off about 8 lbs of the meat. Not normal for them to be off Florida in July, they are typically up around New York this time of year, but whatever, will make great Taco's.

i am honestly very impressed that you even attempt it! there must be some acclimation going on but i doubt I could ride at all in those conditions, let alone ride hard/far. impressive.

Yea lived in Florida for 54 of my almost 59 years with a few visits to foreign countries when I was in the service. My wife thinks I am nuts when I do this stuff, but it is what it is, so you have to learn to live with what you have. When I was stationed in Sigonella, Sicily for 18 months, the summer time was brutally hot, not uncommon to be over 100, and we had a nasty 3 week run where it was in the 110's during the day, with low's in the upper 90's. I was a runner then, and I would run marathon distance run's a couple times a week, so I grew accustomed to it. It was a drier climate than Florida, but you also had the added benefit of Mt. Etna dropping ash on you 24/7. I would borrow a friends bike and would put bottles of water next to trees at given points so I would have liquid. This was all before I learned about adding electrolytes and such, so some runs were extra brutal on me. You could run the perimeter road around the runway on the base, but you had to be carful once the sun went down when you did that as the base was jointly run by the US Navy and Italian Air Force, but main perimeter security was controlled by the Italian's and they had a nasty habit of firing first and asking questions later.

My longest ride to date. Second ride on the new Domane.
It was about 16 miles too long.
