Nishiki Action Peformance Design

I have just bought this bike recently, but cannot (after searching high and low on the internet) find ANY information on it ... like ZERO!

Any chance anyone could assist at all?

I am unfortunately not allowed to post any images yet - but have anyone ever heard of a Nishiki Action? It looks like an Ariel ...

It's an elevated chainstay design and is definitely nt an ALIEN as the rear tubing that goes to the back wheel is straight and not bent.

Hope this helps - lol

Load the pics to your profile and we can help out, until you have 10 posts. I know the "alien" & "ariel" but not the "action", have me curious

Could you tell us the type of bike MTB, ATB or Road and likely age and the country of manufacture which is on the seat just above the BB on all the Nishiki's I have seen.

It's an MTB ... Looks very similar to a Banshee / Ariel... But has stickers on it I have never seen before

It's a lower-end model, so it might not show up online often as collectors gravitate towards Nishikis like Aliens, Ariels, Barbarians, Pinnacles, etc.

As an e-stay bike it's still cool though. My guess would be 1990. A good way to narrow it down is to look for small date codes on the Shimano components. For example: the inside of the crank arms. Codes are here: Shimano date codes Components with a late 1989 date code might be produced to sell on a 1990 model year bike.

pic assist

i would agree on the dating of 1990 or so based on the swagged biopeace crank set and graphics. As said it is a lower end Nishiki USA model so your likely not going to find a lot of info on it online. cleaned up and serviced it should make a good basic rider. As for value I would say $75-100 as is and $150 or so nicely cleaned up serviced and ready to ride with good rubber. The paint and slightly different frame style are kinda cool and should look nice and bit unique when cleaned up.
