Waterford Schwinn Paramount
Hi looking to check my pricing to see if I'm way off. I posted a 58cc Waterford Schwinn 50th anniversary Paramount on our local Craigslist for $750.00 and want to see if I'm in the ballpark.
I built this up with DuraAce in early 1990's. Purchased the frame from a local bike shop who had it on consignment for a worker at the Waterford shop that originally built it for himself (no serial number because of that).
It's in very good condition with new tires, tubes and saddle (pedal and computer are not included.) Also just installed a carbon seat post as the titanium one was loose at the head.
What do you think? Thanks

Low for a Waterford Paramount, with that build. But selling a high end bike on Craigs List can be difficult. I know here in Hooterville, no way could I sell my 1986 Waterford Paramount anywhere close to full value.
You are probably close to Chicago, so that brings a much better market than what I have here.
What is the story on that fork?? Assuming it is not original, that would knock the value down quite a bit. Beautiful paint on that frame!

Yes Hyperglide, shifts very nice for older stuff.... The only thing I'm concerned about is it not having a serial number. Don't know if that's a problem or not...
I have the original gold plated fork although the clear coat on it is a bit scratched up from years of being in my basement and being moved around.

Pull that original fork out of storage, and don't worry about the serial number. You will have a sweet bike there! Price is looking low, low, low.

Another thought?
If I can't sell it on Craigslist, do you think with a total rebuild I could get this bike in the 18lb range? Right now as is it is about 21.2lbs. I'm thinking Campy SuperR and some other choice lightweight parts and new wheels (I think these Mavic's are a bit on the heavy side).
Thoughts please

For reference, my '89 waterford OS paramount weighs ~19.5lbs. as shown. Original 8spd. dura ace shifters, o/g cranks, calipers, bars. Stem is nitto pearl. Saddle, seatpost (not shown, now it's a thomson) and wheels are all newer stuff.

1992 Paramount OS
In 2008 I bought my NOS 1992 Paramount OS frame from a LBS who had it hanging on display for over 15 years. I paid more for the frame than the OP is asking for his complete bike!
Asking price is way low.
There is a Paramount Discussion Group (PDG) on the Waterford web site.
https://www.waterfordbikes.com/board/viewforum.php?f=2
I started riding my Paramount again the other day and forgot what a sweet ride it is.

I just posted more pictures of it on Flickr:

It's a franken bike but I put it together to ride not impress other bikies.
