92 Paramount Series 5

Hey guys, I picked this sweet series 5 up a while ago and was curious to what you might
think it's value to be.

105 group and it really looks like she was barely ridden. If there are scratches and chips,
I haven't noticed. It was suppose to have a tune-up according to the previous owner.

I haven't ridden her, way to small for me. The size I am sure you experts can point out.
I think she might be a 52.

I appreciate any thoughts you might have.

I bought one to add to the keeper fleet from a flipper in Charlotte a couple of years ago. Its an underappreciated bike IMHO, and in typical Schwinn fashion, under-equipped as well.

Mine is now sporting a mix of 600/Ultegra bits, set up with 8 speed tricolor STI.

Nice bike. I really have no idea of the value, but given the parts spec I'm guessing it's a mid-level Schwinn. Maybe $200 or thereabouts. Anyone else?

Around here they go for $450 in that condition. Niced bikes, and as Bill says, underestimated. That 7 speed 1055 stuff will last forever.

If you really want to roll the dice, just list it on eBay w/no reserve. Start the bidding at 2 or 3 hundred. The market will dictate...

I have never sold anything using Ebay before, so I guess that's out.

It really does amaze me looking at the bike though, so purdy.

I appreciate your thoughts.

Those were the Asian made 'series' Paramounts. I had a series 7 with 600 for awhile until I snapped the chainstay at the rear dropout. Rode well though. My dad still has a series 5 like yours I bought him while I worked at a Schwinn shop back in the day. I think he got it for $250 at the end of the year.
