Managed to get a ride in this morning between yesterdays 90 + heat and thunderstorms and the rain we are supposed to get this morning. I downloaded an app on my phone for speedometer odometer and time on the ride. On a level stretch of rode I managed to get the bike up to 30 miles per hour. I also checked the odometer by taking a ride on a road I previously measured the odometer was spot on. I went 5.86 miles in 30 minutes at an average speed of 10 miles per hour. This is going to be a most likely the best purchase I ever made. I not only will be able to ride for the joy of it but I can use the bike around my little burg to go to the store or pick up food. Have a great day.

I'm glad it worked out. Post a pic of the bike out on your loop ride when you get a chance,

Yes it has been a great fit. I spent about 90 minutes today riding around my favorite places. the first hour was pedaling on the level. The rest was just the throttle and I could not wear the battery down. This is the best money I ever spent and it will last for a long time.

I was given this input when I asked the same question.
What type of bike are you looking for?
Where do you want to ride? Trails, Commuting, combination of both.
What kind of terrain will you be riding on?
Do you want to commute from home or will you be transporting your bike to another place before you ride.
Where will you store your bike?
How much will you ride how far do you want to go?
If you answer these questions then it will help you decide what kind of bike you should buy.

The mountain ride
I hope I can post these Pics.
The Bike
The start.
Half way point. Sort of.
Daley Church. Late 1700's
The Hill. (The Beast)
The reward. 4 miles of down hill coasting.
These are the pictures of my mountain ride and my new bike. (at least it is new to me.) It has been a great time since I bought this bike except for today. It rained heavily all day.

I was told it was a 1500 watt motor and a 48 volt battery. It does last along time. I am so glad I found this instead of buying a market bike. I priced the Canyon ebikes and they start at 6500 dollars. I managed to get this monster for 450 dollars. Thank God.
