This one is so easy for someone, but it's stopping me from getting a bike back on the road.

ISO: One cantilever brake yoke. (the thing in the middle. I have several center-pull yokes, but they're not proper for my usage. Willing to consider a plain generic one, or something with a bit of artistic flair)

Example of "artistic", though wouldn't limit myself to "peace love and understanding":

Have: Something you'd be willing to accept in trade.

Desperately in search of a bottom bracket!

I have a TA Pro 5 triple but no usable bottom bracket. The original TA bb for the crank is Ref. 374 and measures 121.5mm long. Unfortunately, mine is badly pitted along the drive side bearing race. In an attempt to solve the problem, I purchased an early 122mm White Industries adjustable bb from ebay. Turns out that the bb is missing one of two locking collars. An issue that was too easy to miss in the seller's photos. Now I have two unusable bottom brackets, and one stalled our build project.

I'm thinking I can go one of a few ways here if any of you happen to have a good bb candidate to offer.

Most obviously, a smooth Ref. 374 TA spindle (or full assembly) 121.5 mm long would do the trick. Stronglight equivalent also acceptable.

Or...

An adjustable bb within 121 to 123mm such as Phil Wood, White Industries, American Classic, etc.could possibly work if lucky. .

Or a standard bb within said length range, such as an asymetrical Shimano Deore or similar. I know 122.5 mm was fairly common in the Shimano Deore catalog.

And lastly, I could potentially use a pair of loose ball adjustable cups (left and right) in conjunction with an appropriate spindle.

What's important here is that I need English threaded cups, 68mm shell, and JIS tapers (closeted to old TA). Must be between 121 and 124 mm in order to maintain established chainline.

Happy to buy, and I have items which may interest trade.

Here's hoping something is out there that can help get this bike on the road before spring passes!

Thanks all.

Is this the White Industries BB?

And if yes, is it one of the two rings-with-setscrews you need?

If yes to that you should pm me.

I have a Phil Wood BB for a 68mm shell, english cups, can't advise on the taper, but it worked with a non date code ('60s?) Campy triple. I can dig it out and snap some pics and measure it this evening. Will PM.

I'm looking for a Nitto Pearl or Cinelli 1A with 26mm clamp diameter and 100-110mm reach (measured as Cinelli measures that parameter, so 5mm less for Nitto-style values). I'm looking for something in good condition. It doesn't need to be perfect, but should be good rider condition. It will be attached to a new Nitto 177 bar.

I have an 80mm Cinelli 1A to trade or other bits. If you're looking for something, perhaps I have what you need. Cash is also king...

Thanks. I should have mentioned "silver" and "not a 1R." Sorry for the incomplete specification.

Silver 1A winged logo. 26.0 clamp. 100 mm reach. I’d rate it very good condition with only minor blemishes from normal use.

Looking for a front recessed brake, does anyone have an orphan to spare?

Just clean, no NOS

Matt, are you still looking? I have a Nervar spindle marked 121. Taper should be the same as TA/Stronglight.

USAZorro, would an Odyssey straddle rod work for you? I've got one that's been gathering dust 20+ years since I realized the Dia Compe 987's I bought it with weren't compatible...

Hi mnm207,
Many thanks for the offer but I am really after a front Athena or chorus.

Looking for a bog-standard 1" threaded headset nut and riser quill stem off a middleweight or lightweight post-1966 Schwinn a pre-1966 Schwinn.

Pre-'66 as I need both to support a 22.2mm neck, not 21.1mm.

Wasn't it the opposite, I thought the stems got narrower post-66?

I got your top nut if you can't find one locally. It is of an '81 vintage. Pm me address & I'll mail it gratis. Fresh out of .833 stems though.

You're right - I misread the post on the Cabe. Every EF Schwinn I've messed with from the 1970's through the 1980's has been 21.1mm; I should have realized this.

So, revision to my previous request: Pre-'66.

Very kind of you - but I actually need the nut, not the top raceway.

It might work. This is one of those Schwinn heavyweights with a bit more steerer than the average road bike. The original nut that split in half is 11mm tall (for about 10mm of threads max):
