EF kit is from Rapha and Rapha has quite a bit of pink, non-EF stuff, starting with their Core line ($70 for either Core or Core Lightweight jerseys).

I'm not putting on a fashion show when I ride my bike. I ride wearing plain colored jerseys with no print crap; I hate having to pay $100 plus for some stupid jersey with an advertisement splattered all over it, hell with that, if they want me to be a moving billboard for them then they can give me the jersey for free and I'll gladly be their billboard, otherwise forget it, advertising comes at a cost so they should be paying us not the other way around!

The only jersey I have that has print on it is a jersey I bought when I went back to my old place I use to race out of a few years ago, they no longer have a team, but they did have a modern jersey with their store's name on it, similar to what ours looked like back in the late 70's when we had our team jerseys, just updated. And the town in which the store is located, also on the Jersey is my home town, so quite a bit of a connection there for me.

There is a guy I know of, because I've seen him many times, and spoke to him. So what does this overweight guy wear? Puts on fake breasts, puts on a dress, and shows his hairy legs which are jet black, wears a long black hair wig, puts on makeup, and out he goes for a ride. He says he likes the odd expressions he gets from other people. He looks utterly ridiculous, but that's the look he was going for, and he knocked it out of the ballpark!

That is something that doesnt even cross my mind with I ride. My "kit" consists of $15 rugby shorts, and the $15 T-shirt that is on top of the pile in my dresser drawer. Setting here I know my helmet is white because that is the logical color for a helmet, and I cant tell you what color my cycling shoes are. I will have to look the next time I ride.

I suspect that 99% is all show and no go, very few people have the ability to control a 500 HP sportscar....I think the same applies to cycling.

Lol. 500hp is not hard to control. My daily has over 550hp, and it is cake to drive. Absolutely no problems driving it or controlling it.

It only becomes difficult when you want to extract the cars potential on a track, and you find the car has more potential than you do. Even at that, you can go pretty fast before you get in trouble, and you have plenty of warning that you are going to lose the car if you don’t back off.

I’m sure my bike has more potential than I do as well. But, I control the potential to look good riding it!

A butter knife can do more damage than a fillet knife.

I've never been a much of a stylista. I definitely don't match my clothes to my bike. I've also never been much into racing kit either. I prefer cool looking "regular" cycling jerseys with interesting patterns or graphics and black baggy shorts.

I'm not in to 'Mandex' any more either, I'm 64 and nobody likes to look at an over-stuffed sausage. When I was 24 it was a different story though.....

Which is often understandable with seat tilt, derailleur, tire pressure or repair issues. But I can't understand why the resurrector of this thread was searching for this topic.

Except for my shoes and gloves I don't even wear proper cycling clothes LOL. Blue jeans or cargo shorts and t-shirts most of the time, even on long rides. I did the Lycra thing 25 years ago, I never felt comfortable in it, too self concious I guess. If you ain't got it, don't flaunt it. People insist that I can't be comfortable riding in blue jeans, I just smile and nod my head. If you saw me on one of my vintage road bikes you'd either think I stole it or I had a DUI and picked up an old bike at Goodwill to get around on. I'm out there to ride not to put on a fashion show.

You realize that as gruesome as the guillotine was, it was, and still is, the most humane way of executing a person?

I thought the legal concoction of select chemicals for the convicted was the humane way?

Better to wear light-colored clothes throughout, no dark stripes, writings, etc.

If a nuclear weapon detonates nearby, any dark coloring on the clothing will permanently bake on the skin like a tattoo. Not nice!

Correct. Lethal injection is essentially the administration of a general anaesthetic.

Would you rather your head chopped off by a guillotine or get a GA?

(I don’t know how we got here on a bike clothes thread.)

Probably because every time a clothing thread comes up, a few more people want to end it all.
