Sram Shifter Replacement/ Shimano

Hi, new member, love the info!
So if it's been discussed before please post a link?
I have 2 bikes hybrids; Giant Cypress 3x8 Shimano Alivio & Fuji Crossroad 3.0; 3x7 Shimano Tourney.
Each bike has a Sram grip shift. (Max,Grip shift)

I purchased sets of Shimano RS-45 for each bike. because I could not find sram replacements?
Is this going to be any problem? Any thing I should know about adjusting?
Appreciate any info?
Thanks.

Shimano SL-RS45? If you got the 8 speed version for the 8 speed and the 7 speed version for the 7 speed, then probably not an issue. I have been wrong before. So don't think you are golden with that one answer alone.

The -7R or -8R on the end of the part number will tell you what speeds they are for. I wouldn't try to run a 8 speed shifter on a 7 speed. Might work, but why chance the unknown and unforeseen circumstances that might be well beyond your return window on the items you purchased.

Welcome to BF.

Thanks Iride01,
Yeah, I got the 7 & 8 versions for each one. I think it should be no problem?
I guess I got confused with all the post about Shimano grips with Sram derailleurs

Thanks again.
