Concorde Bike ID?
Hey everyone, first post here. Wondering if anyone could help ID this Concorde I just bought. Seller listed it for $150 CAD then bumped it up to $250 due to interest. I'm mainly a single speed rider but have been trying to get into a geared bike. I saw the components and got excited but probably should've taken a closer look. He let me ride it and its find but the clearance on the downtube is concerning, as well as the machine cut seat tube (close to to seapost). Pardon the crappy saddle cover that has since been removed to reveal a (you guessed it) crappy saddle. Did I overpay? Why is the wheel clearance so low? Was it in an accident? Is this a safety hazard?

It's hard to say exactly what kind of frightening hack job occurred around the seatpost clamp without any better pictures, but rest assured it ain't good. And of course I agree with thinktubes in that the bike has seen a nasty crash. The missing paint and rust near the head tube lugs shows where the frame bent after impact. Too bad because this would have been a cool bike without these terminal flaws.
Concordes almost always have full chrome forks.

Added some more photos to my profile. Definitely a buckled downtube. Super disappointed but its on me, should've inspected it better. Can this be fixed / is it worth it or should I just strip it of its components and junk it?

No a crashed bike at this level is not worth fixing. I'd try to get your money back. Parts are none too great either. But they have some small value. In the world of vintage road bike parts, for value if the parts are Shimano, they need to be Shimano 600 or higher.

Don,t feel too bad,i can attest that you are not the first vintage bike enthusiast to buy a severely messed up frame. We learn as we gain experiencce.
