My Madonna Del Ghisallo
Here's it's story:
I stopped riding in the early '90s when I was renovating my house. I got back on the bike in '95. After getting back on the bike, I had major falls every four years, like clockwork. One in 1996, 2000, 2004 and 2008. I'm talking accidents that kept me off the bike for at least 6 weeks. The last one in 2008, put me in the ICU for a week and kept me off the bike for 3 months. I bought the Madonna Del Ghisallo charm while recuperating and had it blessed by a priest. I've worn it, religiously (pun indented) since then. In the last 14 years, I've only had two minor falls, hurting only my pride. Is there is a god, saints or angels watching over us? I hope so.
