Which Cassette?

Hi All,

I have just purchased the Wahoo Kickr Smart Trainer and it comes with 11 speed cassette, however I will be using a 10 speed bike.

I have looked at my current cassette and its a Shimano CS-HG62-10 11-32T I have tried to purchase the same but it seems to be discontinued

I have found a Shimano CS-HG500 10 speed 11-32T will this be OK? my knowledge on this kind of stuff is little to nothing!

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Any shimano 10 speed will work fine. Just don't jump the granny gear bigger than your rear mech can handle. Looks like you found a 11-32 to replace your old 11-32 so yeah, it will be just fine!

ride on!

Doesn't have to be shimano either. Sram and Sunrace will also work fine.

So as long as it’s a 10 speed with the same 11-32 the numbers in the middle are irrelevant?

11 or 12 are pretty much the standard, the 32 is a normal high gear as well. Some go as low as 28 but some as higher than 32. Depending on your rear mech 32 maybe the max.

So in short yeah the range in the middle will be pretty much the same all around.

As stated you can go sunrace too. They have good stuff, I know it works fine but I don't like to mix makers parts, Sram with Shimano or whatever but its normally not an issue.
