TrainerRoad-Strava-Apple Health sync broken
Finished my TrainerRoad workout this morning and was surprised to see it not show up in Apple Health after viewing my feed on Strava the way Tuesday’s ride did. After wasting about half an hour refreshing, turning sync on and off, reinstalling, etc. I reached out to Strava support and got this back:
”Thanks for reaching out. We recently updated our Health Kit integration, which means only activities recorded directly with Strava (iPhone or Apple Watch app) will push to Apple Health. You will need to connect your 3rd party device directly to Apple Health moving forward or reach out to the 3rd party if an integration does not yet exist.”
It’s a bummer, since that sync was my primary Strava use case. Looks like the app HealthFit allow for import of .fit files downloaded from TrainerRoad but it was sure nice having it automated…

Yep. This is a weird one and I'm not sure of the reasoning behind it.
Only activities recorded using the Strava app will be synced to Apple Health now. No auto-uploaded Garmin Edge or Wahoo GPS outdoor activities, or virtual Zwift, FulGaz, RGT, TrainerRoad rides uploaded to Strava will be synced to Apple Health.
I guess it'll be down to each individual company contact Apple and get their own sync to Apple Health set up.

Seems that Strava have gone back on their decision rather quickly.

Must have been quite a lot of negative feedback!

Sure. That'll work. :-)
