Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

How's your cycling weather ?

I live in Napa County CA near the Napa Valley vineyards and am enjoying spectacular riding weather. Today is 84 degrees, and light breeze.

Hope this keeps up ! BFers, we are fortunate to enjoy cycling, gas is too expensive now anyway........

It is absolutely gorgeous here in the early and mid afternoon. The only issue here ATM is those pervert trees and weeds fornicating right into the air we breathe...

Commuting in 40's, rain & wind.
Riding is not glorious this time of year in the upper midwest.

Southwestern Virginia here with daytime highs of low 60s, but very windy. Random 40° days on occasion still. I'll take it over staring at the laptop indoors.

Somewhat warmer here, but otherwise you nailed it 100%. Bike stays inside, warm and dry.

This past Sunday was perfect; about 65 degrees, sunny and NO WIND. Too bad it didn't last.

The Ohio Valley has very changeable weather. Monday 3/21 was low 70's, clear, beautiful day for a ride. Showers have moved in for Tues-Weds-Thurs in some areas. Friday forecasted to be clear and low 50's. We may get some rain and sleet with cooler weather possible this weekend. Take your pick--it can be most any kind of weather during spring around here! Different areas, even close together seem to have different patterns. I've seen it pouring down rain at the entrance to our development and bone dry the whole day within the development. All in all though, not too bad, just gotta pick a ride during the clearer days.

Yesterday was, indeed, a gorgeous day for riding here in NorCal!!! Warm, sunny, light breezes. Everything you want after a cold(for NorCal) winter. But I didn't get to ride outside.

Today, it's at least 10 degrees cooler and windy. Today, I can ride outside.

Yesterday was 66F here in PNW, calm and sunny.
Getting warmer around, but got some days on low 30s that is ok with proper clothing but have some hard time to get the right gloves.
Not sure if global warming thing, but I noticed the no shower/rain days are more frequent than 2 or 3 years ago and riding more on no fender bike.

Excellent riding weather in the high 60s to mid 70s this past weekend, but another heat wave this week precludes mid day riding in Orange County, southern California.

A heat wave? You mean upper 80s? A Southern Californian should revel in these mild temperatures. Soon enough it will be well over 100 where I live.

4 of us had a nice 40+ mile ride Tuesday and the only time it felt hot was when sitting in the sun at a break. This weather is why people move here.

Yeah, I know SoCal has the best riding weather, so I am not complaining. I just got to work my way back to riding in higher temperatures after getting used to riding at < 80 F for the last 4 months. Last summer I did it without issue.
