My 62/63 PX10 Restoration is completed
So I got a 70 PX10 (White and Black) sometime back and did a complete referb on it and put a Campagnolo groupset on it. Everone had positive coments (thank you) about it. One person's coment stood out to me, they said Campy has been done why won't someone do one with high end French parts. Well my reason was I used what I had on hand. Fast forward a little and I found a great deal on a second frame only an earlyer Blue and Yellow one. I built it up with some Peugeot parts I had but kept remembering that one comment. I had some Spidel parts stashed away and thought why not, that was as high end French as you could get back then. So I collect the remaining parts I needed and cleaned them up. I also stripped the frame down to bare metal, fixed any damage and repainted it Blue and Yellow. I then applied some new decals from Cyclomundo and a couple coats of clear and the frame looked great. After all the remaining parts were collected I reassembled it. I am still waiting on the correct seatpost and Spidel marked shifters. Today was the first ride, 30 miles, WOW I love how this bike rides, well worth the efort. I beleive it rides and performes better than my 70 model.
What do you Peugeot experts, and non experts think?

No chroming nowadays is way to expensive, I was quoted $400 to chrome a fork, $600 for a frame. That is actualy a very thin decal I found at an auto parts store. It is not the original fork. I hope to find one some day but this will do for now.

Fantastic, well done!I passed up a similar lower model that was just too much too small and was overpriced as well.

My question is on the contrasting lug painting.
You followed as original and have only the top surface of the lugs painted out.
How did you achieve that?
I have a project where the original lugs were painted so, but none of the pro painters are that interested in doing that.
They like making the color break at the tube to lug base.
It is a different look than many manufacturers did originally.

Absolutely stunning! I know the white/black is iconic but I love the blue/yellow more.....wonderful job and well deserving of the high end french treatment.

A+ job. However, imho that bike really deserves some high end skinwall tires. That loud Gatorskin logo is kind of killing the beautiful vintage French vibe.

These I had already. I plan on using this bike as my regular ride and have always had good luck with them. Did you notice the bar tape is not from that era either,,,,, don't tell anyone.

Well deserved. I love how you replaced up...modern parts but still true to the Peugeot nameplate.
The paint is about what I am going to do on a Losa, and perhaps on a 1987 Peugeot...sort of retro vibe it.

One more observation - are you certain your stem height is ok? It looks pretty high in the full side view picture.

It does look high but it is a long stem. The min hight mark is below the top nut.

When I first looked at it I thought the yellow lugs looked odd. After looking closely at the pictures and the quality of the paint job, I think it looks great.
