Welp, new fuel and cleaning out the carb didn't get the snowblower running, so I guess I'd better get a new spark plug and a socket to pull the old spark plug.

One of the other things that irks me about the TR price bump is the way that it happened and the justification afterwards. They didn't notify the user base in advance at all. Just one day, boom - $19.95. After the fact, they said that they didn't want to give notice because they felt is was a "disservice" to the loyalty of the year-round subscribers. Gimme a ******g break. For years, they marketed themselves as a come as you are, easy peasy, on/off season training option. Now the people that took advantage of that, but came back, year after year, are second-class users. **** that noise.
Yeah, I've been thinking about creating some workouts based on a handful of favorites on TR (and really, we're just talking about 5x5 and stuff like that - not exactly innovative intellectual property theft). I know that I can do some stuff on the Wahoo Bolt, but I need to spend some time looking over how to get that done. I'll check out GC, too - thanks.

I just wear a thin full finger glove for winter (currently Assos intermediate fall/spring gloves), although I also have a "winter" glove for when it dips into the 40s. Those see use like twice a year... And I have cold hands!

I found an online spoke calculator--Kosterz.com. I entered numbers for a front hub, and it calculated left and right spokes at 10mm difference. I will go back to my tried and true, Wheelpro I wonder if I can trust their hub and rim measurements.

A fun thing about those ancient threads is to see the number of users on them who are now banned.
And then to do a little digging through their old posts and the Banned Users thread to try to piece together why.
It's fun because of the random and arbitrary way some of their posts get disappeared and some don't, and sometimes the banned user list gets updated and sometimes it doesn't, and sometimes people get banned for talking about people who get banned.

In all my small engines now I install a fuel shut off and run them dry. The alcohol in today's fuel causes all kinds of issues.

But all in all, they had it coming. You would have a very hard time finding someone who was unjustly banned. It’s pretty difficult to get banned here, you have to really put some effort into it. A lot of bridge burning happens behind the scenes, so only the involved parties really know the full story. But that’s the way it should be . . . not the bridge burning, but the privacy.

So had surgery today. I had a fist sized lipoma (lypoma?) Removed from my back. I had it removed over 15 years ago when it was maybe 2" across. It returned within a year and has slowly grown.
Also had one ,smaller, removed from my head last week.
Surgeon said no riding for 1 week. I had just started using the trainer. So I get to start all over next week. Great.

Update on the bike build. As concerning the bottom bracket.
Even though it is called a bb30, it's not. The bearings are in cups that mount outside of the frame. This is due to sram standardizing the length of the Dub axel. The part of the axel that the bearing surface is located @ is outside of the bb shell. So running the bearings in the frame is a no go because the dub axel is a smaller diameter in this location. Facilitating bearing cups needing to be pressed into the cups that were installed into the frame to house the bearings.
Or I could destructively remove these cups and install an osbb30dub .
Or Leave the cups in and install a Token Ninja bb30 thread together unit. Which is sitting in my parts bin .
I really wanted to try the sram bb30 dub unit, however the seller sent me a press fit by mistake. I'm sure he will exchange it. But that will take time. And I'm not long on patience. So I ordered the instalation tools for the Token and sent a message to the bb30 seller. I will install whichever I have the completed set up to do first.
And now as I am looking at the crankset I am wondering why my exogram red crankset wont work with axs. The spacing appears to be the same..

Cool. Will give it a go when I have a chance to dick with it again. After doing a little more looking, I think that I didn't go far enough in cleaning the carb - I didn't pull the emulsion tube and check/clean it. Oops.

How bad was it? We use a lot of Honda powered water pumps @ work. We have several spares that just sit around. My crew needed to service ours so I tried to find a reserve unit that would run. Everyone I tried had a carb bowl full of yellow , errr... snot...and just full of corrosion. The old fuel stabilizers and the new fuels dont work together very well. And cause more problems than they are worth.
If you can get marine fuel, or better yet aviation. It's worth it to run out the last tank of the year and use the marine blend to store it
