Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

@Velo Vol
you previously stated you had a headlight but not a proper one. Do you use it and do you have a rear blinky? I'm concerned for your safety.

Does one really need those on a lawn mower?

I have a proper blinky, but it is not currently affixed to the bicycle. #ToDoList

When I used to go to Dodger games there was no advertising anywhere in the stadium except the 76 logo above the message boards. We could buy a seat way above home plate for $5.

I could go for a seat at Dodgers' Stadium. I'd be happy out in the bleachers, but probably $30+ even out there.

Best LA sports memory I have is seeing the Kings with The Great One in the Great Western Forum in 1992. Pretty scary neighborhood back then though.

We used to go to the Forum and see live boxing. That was fun but when we went to see PPV on the big screen it could get scary and we had to hustle out of there one time.
I went to a few Kings games with a girl who was a rabid fan. She would scream until she lost her voice. This was when they couldn't draw fans and the people from the Forum came up and gave her free tickets. I never paid for a ticket.

Horseflies are here. They are quite aggressive. I'll need to wear gloves during my mowing activities.

But ... but you're in Tennessee, right next to Kentucky, home of thoroughbred racing. You kinda gotta clean some stalls.

Too bad you weren't around for the brouhaha back in the day when the Dodgers left NY. Talk about weeping and gnashing . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .

I wasn't around then either, my dad told me.
