Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I stop by the office and there's a bird inside. I can't even get it from a room out to the main hallway. It keeps flying into the same windows.

It seems to have gotten tired. Unfortunately there's a bunch of boxes and junk in the room, and it went in a corner, out of reach, on the floor. SMH.

It’s like a sauna outside. And it’s only going to get worse next week. Ugh.

On the radio yesterday the announcer said very humid weather is coming, and it’s going to stick around for awhile. I don’t think she saw what she did there.

The boss showed up and was able to grab it in the curtains. I was reluctant to try that for fear that I would squish it. #BirdRescue

I could not get coverage for being on call and had to cut ride short. Even so, I was very happy to get out for a ride.

I thought about taping a knife to the front of my bike this morning, the humidity was brutal. Started pouring at mike 45. Can’t say I am a fan.

You could do laps at your office park and be right there if needed.

My wife and i took our tandem assault vehicle out this morning and it was one of those rides that just wasn't enjoyable. First, the wind was brutal, humidity was suffocating, and the traffic was heavy. It had been awhile since we had ridden the tandem and I was having a hard time steering it in the crosswinds. We were also dealing with some wet roads due to a shower passing through. Then, my wife starts getting weather warnings on her phone and a quick scan of the sky confirmed it, necessitating a mad dash for home in a 20 mph crosswind. The whole ride was just nerve wracking.

High 60s and sunny, for all rides. Light breezes, rather than the usual howling gale.
