Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

We still have Jame White's Fort, of course. But Fort Sanders, of the famed Battle of Fort Sanders, was torn down long ago.

New washing machine day. Digital. I really dislike digital appliances, but that seems to be all there is nowadays. The one it replaces is ancient, and still functioning well, but the carcass is no longer attached to the innerds. And parts of the carcass are no longer attached to each other.

Based on concerts that showed up on my YouTube page, it seems like nearby University of North Texas has a pretty good music programme.

TMS... All I know, the inaugural event was a total **** show in more ways than one. The weather messed with it, and so did the plumbing.

Oof. Right down the road from the house I lived in in the late 90s. Portland roads can't take the heat!
