Non effervescent electrolyte drinks

I have IBS and it seems even mildly effervescent drinks, such as the Nuun tablets, upset my stomach, particularly on strenuous rides: are there any that don't fizz?

Just started Enhanced Electrolytes by Zeal Naturals after an episode of heat exhaustion. So far, so good. No fizz, one scoop per 16 oz, Black Cherry is Ok, sweetened with Stevia if you can handle that.

DripDrop. Best I've tried. Check the info on their website. There's nothing magical, no secret ingredients. It's all the same stuff many companies use to mix electrolyte drinks. But DripDrop has really nailed the right combination.

Comes in single serve Mylar packets, which are waterproof so I can stuff 'em in my saddle bag, jersey or socks to have spares. It's the most neutral tasting, digestible and effective of all the powdered and pre-mixed electrolyte/sports drinks I've tried.

A couple of days ago I substituted Propel mixed with Mio Energy in the water bottle I carry on some longer easy paced runs on warmer days. Around the two mile mark I was getting "heartburn" type indigestion from that mix and occasionally had to slow to a walk until my stomach settled. I've never had that problem with DripDrop.

I usually buy at Walgreen's, the beginning of the month when they sometimes offer a two-for-one discount. Or via Amazon. DripDrop is priced about the same as the other premium brand electrolyte mixes.

My wife likes Hi-Lyte, add it to water. https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

She said it relieved leg cramps the very first day. Her Chiropractor recommended it.

I don't think I'd drink it even though I don't have IBS

Yes, I also like DripDrop on very hot rides, and for rehydration after a ride.

I had a miserable case of hyponatremia on Climb to Kaiser (156 miles, 16,101 feet) when it was 114F. Since then, I'm serious about consuming enough sodium. Hyponatremia is way worse than dehydration.

For less intense riding, I use Osmo, formulated by a Stanford physiologist. It tastes okay, but I add some ginger powder to the mix to make it taste better.

I've never had any GI upset that I could attribute to either drink.

I use Endurolyte Extreme powder to add to my bottle mix. They also have Endurolyte capsules and Endurolyte Extreme capsules you can take every so often during your ride too.

Only the stuff with Fizz in the name fizzes.

What exactly is a "large amount" of Gatorade that this site is drumming up warnings about? In "large amounts" even tea can nearly kill you, why isn't anyone warning people not to touch the stuff . Some of those side effects are laughable, especially in the context of cycling. Gatorade was good enough for my vEveresting last year, it might not work for everyone but dismissing it because of some random site's hyperbole is silly.

My only real complaint against Gatorade is they have way too much sodium and other electrolytes in them. I seldom use that much and only for the hardest of rides on the hottest of days.

My other gripe for Gatorade is when riding hard.... it has a syrupy taste that leaves an after taste and feel on my tongue I don't like.

I know people that swear by Liquid IV,
Nuun also has non fizzy powders.
I've been known to use OSMO on event days, but like Nuun powder it's a bit pricey for everyday use.
Mio has some sport formulas too.
