Spego? Good brand for road bike?
Hi, Everyone - this bike is up for sale on my local neighborhood web site. How does this look? Is price OK? I like the aggressive fork rake.

I'd be leery of the front brake cables binding on sharp turns, and/or the cables being too tight within their housings. With the fork being turned backwards and all.

I have never heard of this brand. The fork is backwards. Hard to assess much more with the pic being that dark and crappy.

Kind of looks like those might be Campy levers. Hard to tell for sure.

I found this ad from a couple of years ago with better pictures. It doesn't look like a very expensive bike. The drops look really odd.
Unless it has never been ridden, (fork does give that indication), is in perfect condition, and you want to dip your foot into Campy cost, I'd pass on it.

I probably wouldn't buy it! That terrible non drive side picture and how it is poorly put together is a significant don't touch with a ten foot pole. Campy Xenon is the lowest level of campy and it looks like the bike may have some other really low end components. Just because it has Campy does not make it a good bike and at $200 it is way too expensive for what they are offering.
From what I can gather Spego is a brand from French sports department stores sort of like Nishiki at Dicks, slightly better quality than Wally-mart and you may even get a few known components to make it look tempting but closer to Wally-mart than bike shop quality wise. However there isn't a ton of info on the 'Murican Googles and nicht sprechen sie French so Googlés Pari is out of the question.
