Sorry about the flood of random “likes.” The site software put me in the middle of the thread when I thought I was at the end. Such wonderful photos, though!

Along the Tucson Loop

Some views along the Rillito River branch of the Tucson Loop. Stereo pairs formatted for cross-eyed viewing.

Along the Rillito River

Gnarled mesquite at the entry

Mesquite colonnade

Stonehenge in the desert. The trapezoid opening in the panel is aligned to the winter solstice sunrise.

The trapezoid is aligned to the winter solstice sunset; the rectangular opening above my bike is aligned to the equinox sunset.

A little art deco on a bridge over the Rillito.

Along the Grand Canal

I couldn't get the colors right that day. The second one is closer. There was a soft golden hue to the sky all around me as the sun set.

I shipped my broken camera off to the Nikon Service Center yesterday. It fell off my work bench with a very big and heavy 500mm lens attached... broke the F to Z mount adapter and the camera's electronic viewfinder. I was able to purchase another adapter locally (thanks to Craigslist) and make a few test shots with the 500 before shipping the camera. The good news is that the lens appears to be okay. The bad news is that the repair estimate is just under $500 and I'll be without my camera for at least the next couple of weeks.

Here are a few of the last photos taken before the 'accident'...

Great bokeh/color! Too bad about the drop but now you can go for the Z series sans adapter.

Welcome to NYC. People are never prepared for the amount of walking involved. 👍

Most my pics are of nature, but I've noticed a lot of pictures on here are of murals. Jacksonville is probably not your first thought when murals are brought up and we're definitely not a tourist town, but it is interesting that we do have a fair share of murals around the city. Maybe one day I'll throw my camera in my pannier and take a trip down town and snap a few.

Here are some samples...

It's nice to be down at the park when the light is working for you.

The feet tell you how different Grebes are from ducks. They have a hard time walking on dry land.
