I'm guessing it's either from an amateur builder or possibly a one man shop run by a guy who has a day job and builds bikes on the side.

Do you have any photos showing frame details?

This 2009 issue of Boston Biker lists Jacobs Bicycles as a sponsor of a "Grudgematch" race and provides a link: www.jacobsbicycles.com. Unfortunately, the link is dead.

you are a better googler than I for sure. Must not be around anymore. Im going to check it out today and I'll ask the guy about it although he is the second owner. oh well. Thanks for the help! I'll take some good photos of it if I decide to go for it.

This thread is a year old, but if anyone is still interested, Jacob (no "s" in his actual name, last name Green I think) was in the messenger scene in Boston in the mid 00's. I was acquainted with him in passing. He threw some good alleycats and built frames as a sideline for two or three years (?), mostly track bikes for other Boston messengers. Often used 3rensho aero fork crowns. Last thing I saw from him was a long 20" wheel fork that turned any bike into a front load cargo bike (google Zaftig). No idea where he is now or what he's up to.

His last name is Smoller, unfortunately he passed this year.

Jacob was a messenger in Boston and a friend of mine. He unfortunately passed away several years ago.
