I got TT brake levers for my bull horn bar. How should I route cables to look pretty?

If you are looking for some cheap bar end brake lever, try one of those:
  • ALHONGA HJ-R265A (30 $)
  • Tektro TL720 (33 $)

im using TT brake levers on my bull horn. It looks like the cable hole is on the top. I was hoping to route it underneath the bar tape for cleanliness, but I don’t think it’s possible.

any thoughts on making it look pretty?

drill some holes

hammerdog, Could you please explain where you would drill the holes and how you would route the cables? I can't figure it out from the picture you posted. Thank you!

R200....drilling holes in your bars will not get you hammerdog's results because the cables exist from the top of your Soma levers.
You're better off buying a different set of levers. While your at it replace the old brake cables with some teflon coated ones.....

seems like maybe it could be internal routing, you can a see a hole in the bar end expander nut. I had dura ace tt levers that were like that. You had to tighten the nut first then fish the cable through it's center. Also ended up drilling an oval hole in the outside elbow of the closest bend for the cable to exit and run along the bars on the outside and under the tape.

can you adjust the brake levers closer to the bars for folks with smaller hands?

I stopped riding the Langster for about 5yrs(no real reason) but decided to change it up a bit this Spring. Swapped out the drops for bull-horns and it's now my Go To bike for solo rides.
Such a simple change and glad I did it!......

"ET" is set back in a curve on a MUP I take once in awhile. He can be missed if not paying attention. My wife rides the same path often has never seen "him".....

OMG. The hole on top isn't for routing the brake cables. They route through the mounting bolt/nut in the middle, and internally through your handlebars. LOL SO DUMB!!!!!
