I just had to do this!
Rode a route on Saturday, about 28 miles, and when I uploaded my ride to Garmin Connect, I noticed there was a segment that basically covered the last 1/2 mile. So, on Monday, I rode it again, and this time went all out (well, at least for me, all out) and grabbed the #1 spot by about 2 MPH. I think riding around 29 MPH for the first 0.35 miles did it, because by that time my heart rate alarm was telling me STOP IT, and my bad knee was saying "You're going to regret this later on!"
Took the missus out later for a celebratory drink (a double tall rum & Coke helps with the knee, too.) She was pretty proud of her 69 year old hubby with the heart stents and knee scars.
I didn't tell her I only tied for 9th on Strava.
