Anybody know anything about this Murphy Cycles 'Marty' frame (lugged steel)?

You don't know what a lugged frame should look like. A few hours ago you mistook lugs for "welded on crap" that looks "weird".
Scrod is probably looking over his bike as we speak, searching for whatever must have gone wrong with it that you find it appealing. That you have to ask if a bike you've actually seen is lugged... not a glowing testimony to your expertise.

As for Scrod's bike, I don't know if it's lugged or welded or what, but being that it's a vintage frame, I was assuming it was lugged (not welded). I don't know for sure, but if it is lugged, then that's what I'd want a lugged frame to look like. It's clean, tight and looks like it was finished extremely well.
I know what I like and those Murphy frames aren't it. That's all I was saying. The OP asked people's opinions. I gave mine.

Your cog is slipping.
The problem with what you are saying is that they look exactly like the lugs on my Raleigh (and 95% of all other lugged frames in existence) except that mine are chrome.
The Murphy track frame actually has very nice, clean looking lugs:
Also, I'm not trying to start a fight here but the only one talking about Murphy's road frame is you.

Also, you're right. I was talking about the road frame. Probably shouldn't have brought that up. My bad dude.

Also, for what it's worth, I appreciate you guys informing me of the difference between welds and lugs. I learn something new everyday.

All I said was that I thought the frames weren't finished well and that I felt the add-ons on the road frame (yes, I'm the only one talking about this one) looked cheap. It's my opinion, am I not entitled to it? I don't know squat about cars, but I can tell you that I am not a fan of Porche. I just don't like the way they look. mechanically, I'm sure they're fine, but I don't like the way they look.
Just with these Murphy frames. I'm sure they're fine bikes, but I think there are prettier frames out there that are made just as well. I never said, "Don't buy this frame," or "This frame is garbage."

I don't know anything about the quality of the frames or the comapny, but, I think they look great.
The lugs are elegant but understated. I'm not a fan of the super ornate lugs. The TIG joins on the bottom bracket and brake bridges looks very tidy to me. The dropouts are beefy and handsome, especially on the Marty. The angled fork crown on the Seamus is very pretty. And the dropout/chain stay/seat stay unions look completely seamless and clean. As for the finish, I'm a staunch proponent of monochromatic powder coat, so that is a big win for my tastes. Kinda dig that mettalic sunflower too.

I could walk you through an AR-15 Build step-by-step. I would welcome the opportunity to help someone learn more about something I'm knowledgeable about so I appreciate that others are willing to help me learn as well. Bikes aren't my strong suit, but I enjoy them and I'm learning.

Y'all are going to think I'm nuts but the more you talk about these stupid frames and the more you point out the different aspects, the more I like them. LOL! They're growing on me. I still don't care for the finishes on them, but I might change my mind if I could see one in a really nice candy red... Look what you guys are doing to me! Educating me AND changing my views.
Before it's all said and done, I'll be a well-rounded human being.
But I still won't like Porsche.

Technically, according to Webster dictionary it's "dammit" as a curse word or "damn it" when referring to an "it". Damnit is acceptable, but is considered a nonstandard contraction of "damn it."
