Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

$50,000 road bike???!!!!

So I was just browsing through ebay and came across this Colnago with a buy it now price of $49,999?? And almost spit my water out all over my keyboard... Seriously is any bike worth that much? Can anyone explain to me why this bike is going for so much besides the fact that its a rare 1 of 30... Just curious what everyone has to say about this.

If you don't want it, then don't buy it. There are $200,000 cars out there that I'm not going to buy either.

And that's only the "Buy it now" price. It could go higher upon bidding.

The bottle cage looks kind of crappy. Though I'm impressed they pass along their FedEx shipping discount to the buyer. How generous.

In any case, it's definitely a chick bike.

welcome to the, one and only, wheeled sport where putting more money into your equipment doesn't make you any faster.

I think that thing has been relisted like 20 times.

It's just like those 25 year old Peugeots on CL that the seller wants $500 for and no one is interested so he relists it twice a week.

I put one in the passenger seat of my McLaren F1 and drove it off of cliff, just to piss people off.

Just buy it direct for 1,785,000 yen or 19.8K USD

https://www.colnago.co.jp/forever/order/index.html

Cheese wiz, that didn't even take any effort.
