Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

How did you do the vinyl decals? (are they custom done or do you use your computer and a printer?)

Wow Wow Wow.. um well lets see.... YOU ROCK MAN!!!!!!!!!
Ok got that out of my system. I own a pachee VL and it is great for smaller stuff. My neighbor has a tuchup gun I can use for clear. I am just not sure which paint. I have worked with Acrylics on plastic before on a small scale, but I wanted something simple for my PF qs2 frame. I am not sure if artist acrylics will work on this aplication or if I need to go straight the the good stuff and order some house of color auto paints. In either case I know I would use a Auto gloss clear for sure. I haven't order it just yet, but it will have Champy wheels, and SRAm Rival Grouppo. Speedplay x5 pedels as well. I set a goal of 20 pounds and complete a century or 30 pounds which ever comes first. Got on the scale this morning and I have already dropped 10.. I actually like the look of the PF naked carbon, but some nice stripping like on yours I think adds a lot. I want people to ask WTF is that guy riding!!!! It may not be a 4K + Specialized TARMAC SRAM FORCE bike with ZIPP wheels but it should make their heads turn. Plus if I say I built it myself and gave a sweet coat of paint it will be even better when I tell em the whole thing cost me less that $2,500...
I like the 3D highlights you did around the neck area on the pink. That takes some control.
Here is some stuff I did..

Not as nice a finsih as yours, but I am only starting out..

Everything is good.

The bike now has upwards of 6,000mi on it, and still has all original components, including chain and casstte. They aren't showing any serious dolphinning or stretch yet.

About the only real problem I've had is the Xero XR-1's are starting to give a bit of pinging in the rear wheel. But, the only time we hear any noise is when she is climbing, and standing. The torque from pedalling while standing on a steep incline causes some small pings when her right foot is on the downstroke. I've put drops of oil on the spokes, but think it's going to need a real good tear down, pull the tires, and really clean the rims inside and out, check the spoke tension, then apply some lube to the nipples and such.

Other than that, it's been a good machine.
