The Six13 Nude/Carbon is just wicked looking! The AmClassic carbons really set it off. Nice ride.

So I got my new CAAD8 replacement frame on Friday and the shop built her up for me. For those who aren't familiar with the my plight I drove my previous CAAD8 into my garage and broke the frame at the seat tube/top tube juncture. I was really in love with grey/nude paint on the old one but it's no longer available. My sponsor hooked my up (and I mean hooooooked me up) with a smokin deal on a new CAAD8 but it has to be in the Patriot Blue/Black Hyperfade color scheme. Well the pic in the catalog and on the C'dale website were pretty underwhelming but at the price I got it for I said OK. Well to my very pleasant surprise the color is freakin awesome. I don't think it translates well in these photo's but the bike is basically changing colors from different angles. I'm very happy with out come. Of course I had to include the obligatory shot with the kid I took it out for the maiden voyage and it was 31 degrees and raining. I spent over an hour cleaning the bike up after got home and thawed out!

All this thread has done is confirm my opinion about Cannondale making the sweetest looking bikes throughout their line....very classic looking with great lines.

Here is my new bike, it replaced my 2004 R800 that was injured when we were hit by a car trying to cross in front of me.
It is a 2006 R800, which in Japan comes with the Slice Premium fork instead of the Slice Ultra.
I replaced the stock "Cannondale Carbon Wrapped" seatpost with the "Cannondale Competition" seatpost from the previous bike. That saved 40 g.
I also replaced the stock "Cannondale Road" saddle with the Fi'zi:k Poggio saddle from the previous bike. After removing the plastic scuff guards
and Dremel-ing some of the wings off, I saved another 62 g. I also painted the part of the saddle that used to be gold to black so it matches now
(except it kind of looks like a skunk!). I just wish that they would have traded the silver Shimano R550 wheels for the black ones - I guess that
is just something they just will not do in Japan.
Every moving part on this bike except the FSA headset is Shimano, which I think is pretty sweet.
I still need to re-install the computer, trim the rear brake cable about an cm shorter, and remove the barrel adjusters on the shifters.
Microsoft Excel says this bike should weigh 18.4 lbs with pedals, cages, and computer. The only pieces I am unsure about are
frame: estimated 1250 g (based on 54 cm CAAD 7 actual weight 1210 g)
fork: estimated 340 g (I thought I saw this posted on the Cannondale web site once)
crank: estimated 853 g with BB cups (from Shimano catalog)

Yeah, bro. I did LA to Mexico last week. My bike weighed a ton. That's why I'm looking into getting a very nice road bike, most likely a Cannondale Six13, Synapse, or CAAD8. I can't decide.

Here's my racer with my new carbon tubulars, haven't ridden them yet, just popped them on for the pic.
(the stem was down all summer but it'll have to stay flipped up until the disc's in my back heal.)

I've owned three Cannondales, and all were excellent bikes, especially the MTBs. I like that the company is not just a frame manufacturer, and they engineer the whole package to work well. Good to see them back in the Protour next year with Barloworld.
I've seen some naked ally CAAD8s around, this may be my next frame.
