Early 90s Ritchey Logic Road Bike

What does the group think this early 90s Ritchey Logic bike is worth. Serial number: 441. It is in extremely good condition with no dents or dings and few chips/scratches. The mechanical components are all Shimano 600 Tri-color (Ultegra). This includes, crankset, derailleurs, 8 speed cassette hubs, 8 speed STI shifters and dual pivot brakes. The stem (12cm) & bars (FORMA SL) are 3T. The headset is Tange Vantage and the seat post is, of course, a Ritchey. The saddle is a Selle Italia Flight.

The frame measures 21in (54.5cm) CTC for both seat tube and top tube. Crankset arms are 172.5mm with 53/39 chain rings. Stand over height = 30.5in. The cassette is 12-25. It has a new SRAM 850 chain. The hubs are laced to Mavic Open 4CD rims. There is some scuffing to the anodizing on the brake track of the rims. The tires are 700C X 23 Continental Ultra 2000 and appear to have very few miles on them. The shifters have been flushed/lubed and are fully functional. All cables have been replaced with new SS units. It also has new brake cable housings. Handlebar tape is in very good condition.

The manager of the co-op that has the has the bike thinks it’s worth $1300-1400, but he is use to giving discounts to co-op members. I’ve been asked to assist with the sale and would like a realistic price for the forum as well Ebay.

Thanks & regards,

Van

Agreed, that's a stunner, with the tri-colour groupset.

I see you have it listed on ebay for $1250 which seems pretty optimistic to me. I'll be really surprised if you get a thousand dollars. Let us know how it turns out.

I bought one of these of a similar vintage but with a newer group (Ultegra 6600 I think) a couple years ago for $700. That may have been a honey of a deal, not sure.

$700 seems about right unless you want it sitting around for a long time.

Thanks for the feedback on the Ritchey

Hi folks,
Thanks for setting me straight on this bike. I was so enamored by its condition plus all of the oohs & ahs it got, I got carried away. Will change pricing and add new better pix soon.
Don't know what happened to the original components. That's one of the hazards of these organizations. I'd like to know where the culprit got such nice looking stuff.
I've been side tracked for bike activities, but will get back to soon, hopefully.
Cheers,
Van
