Excellent!

And there are so many more, so many great minds and all that, willing to share, dig in on a problem and pass it along, especially to the newcomers.

I have a few that I was doing before I got here so I'll wait and see if I can remember some of the ones I did pick up here.

I think we need to put the hammer down on this and really make it a thing.

This was where I learned to tape handlebars in the "harlequin" pattern. This is the method of weaving two rolls of different color cloth tape in order to end up with a pattern of diamonds of the two colors. In the same way that lacing up a wheel seems confusing at first, this method of weaving the tape is also confusing. In both, getting started is the hard part. Once you are going, you just keep up the pattern.

Here's a shot of my first and only attempt at doing a whole handlebar, just a few years ago....

It was complicated by using bar end shifters, so I started at both the tops and bottoms of the bars, and finished under the brake hoods.

I'm pretty sure I pdf'ed the thread that discussed how to do this, but hopefully it can be found with a search.

Did you decide to keep it built with the 650b wheels? Looks like it was made for them.

It looks good, one could take it down to the ridge, round the ends to match the mounting hardware and you might not know it was once a chainring.

I stopped partly because it was getting difficult to hold but also I wanted it to be recognizable. It weighs very little.

I guess given the wave-particle duality it probably doesn't make sense to grease your lighting. It's still a good song though.
