I stopped by goodwill while visiting my folks and didn’t have the heart to leave this there. Do I need it? Nope. Odds are someone else will though. I can’t say that I’ve seen a paint job like this in town, but I’m sure someone will think it is amazing. It kinda is.

So cool! I've had one of the Marin "RockStar" paint job bikes, kind of rasta, go through my hands.

Love the paint job and black components. Man, some black rims and more extroverted tan wall tires would really set that thing off!

Mountain bikes get a pass on unicrown forks so I'd say all cool and no ugly.

Lugs for fenders, rack mounts on the seatstays, cantis. That would make an awesome and gorgeous year-round commuter and utility bike.

I had a bet with myself that behind that thread title lay a 1990's splatter-paint MTB. I wasn't wrong.

Looks to be just a few small tweaks from being mint, matching handlebar and all. Great find.

No ugly involved, that's just plain cool, too small for me but I couldn't have left it there either. That deserves to be detailed out and preserved.

Personally I love these gaudy late ‘80 paint jobs but then again I’d love to have an Edsel Ranger long roof

Seeing one in 2022, unusual maybe but definitely not ugly and cool af.

This is from someone who usually not intersted in MTBs, non-Italian bikes and above all colorful splash paints (exceptions always apply).

Nice score!

Great find and that is style and a tribute to the name sake Muir Woods.
Get it riding nice and keep it at your parents and every trip can have some extra fun.
Love the below John Muir quote for both walking and riding

“In every walk in nature one receives far more than he seeks.”

I think these early 90's fluorescent paint jobs only start to look bad once they get sun-faded.

Now, why have I always pictured you behind the wheel of an Autobianchi?
(Yes, I know the bicycle is shown non-drive side and has been substantially modified, let alone cropped in the photo.)
