I was going to see if the "ghost ring" even works but I don't have enough room on any of single speeds to run that...too bad!

Looks like a great way to throw a chain. Undoubtedly on a huge downhill spinout.

Looks like someone ran out of room in their spare cog drawer.

Maybe this doesn’t exactly fit subject matter since it’s a discarded bike. But, my brother sent me this picture he took on his ride today along one of his usual routes. Someone pulled the submerged bike from an adjacent saltwater lagoon and set it up on the sea wall. The thing I found interesting about it is that even though all the metal is rusted and corroded…it’s still intact. Except for the rims, spokes, and hubs. No sign of them. Even the axels are still in place keeping the tires and tubes from floating away. It shows how much faster aluminum corrodes than steel.

Some monsters here but if you really want to see ruined bikes ride around the Pacific Coast Bike Route or look at the bikes people keep on their boats at Marina Del Ray. Worst rusted out horrors I've ever seen, that they function at all is amazing, some of them probably don't. You can find these ratty monsters all up and down the coast really from the salt air.

At least no one's going to steal it.

Now that's a vintage Schwinn!

Is that the front rim flattened under the crank?
