A good 26” tire $30ish?
Hi folks,
There’s a ton of options for 26” tires. I’m looking for a good all around tire that’s mostly going to be riding on pavement (street, sometimes not well maintained, and occasionally brick/cobblestone type situations), with some dirt/gravel paths as well as grass and very light trails. I think these options fit my budget/availability so far.
Kenda Small Block 8
Kenda K-Rad
Schwalbe Billy Bonkers
Specialized Hemisphere
Michelin Country Race’r
Any recommendations?

I've been quite pleased with the Kenda K892 tires (they have other similar offerings) that came with my 2018 Giant Sedona. While these budget priced tires aren't very glamorous,They nonetheless check all the boxes for its intended purpose. It rolls well on pavement, has enough tread for wet grass and many trails, is very durable and is at least average for flat protection and ride quality.

Just get some Paselas. You can get 26s in several widths.

I mounted a pair of Ritchey Speedmax tires, but for now, I am relying on the positive reviews of others. They're meant to be good for on or off road, and folks really seem to like them. So far, the bike they're mounted on has only been up and down the block a couple of times because I'm spending a lot of time just getting the fit and component mix up to a base level of comfort/function, etc.

have following tires in folding bead / tan sidewall :
Schwalbe Billy Bonkers 2.10
Maxxis DTH 2.15
Panaracer Pasela 1.75 (and 1.5 wire bead)
have not used the Billy Bonkers yet
have some time on the DTH - work very well
(pic attached above of DTH w/dark tan sidewall)
have some time on the Pasela - work very well - a little lighter and less 'robust' than DTH
(pic attached of 1.5 Pasela on bike in foreground; DTH on bike in background)
these tires in the folding versions will likely be above $30
the light tan sidewall DTH is little lighter than the dark tan sidewall DTH (have both versions)

I didn't have any complaints about Paselas in 26" when I used them. It would be cool if they made one in 47-50mm width, though.
