Norta Professional..Belgian brand
Here is my newest find. I've never seen another Norta Professional bike though I had a Norta Crankset that I think I gave to a BF member. I went back on my word with the wife about not buying anymore bikes since we are moving soon. Well, as long as she doesn't find out; I'm good.
This baby is made out of Ishiwata 022 tubing and from riding my wife's bike, which is also made out of Ishiwata 022(if the decal is legit), I will like how it rides. In fact, it's very light. It has a full 1st generation Dura ace group on it while the rest of the bike is 3tt (except seat post.) I have never seen a 3TTT saddle in person but I've seen some NOS ones go for over $125 on the bay. The paint is in good condition as well as the chrome. The pictures really make it seem worse than it is. Also, it has gold pin stripping on the lugs which make it all the better. I was unable to take good pics as I have to keep the wife from seeing it. 
Tell me what you guys think. Though Norta is most known for inexpensive parts bikes, this one I think was their top model or near to it. What do you guys think? I posted this on "Catch of the Day." I'll post more pics soon.

I'm suprised the shifter don't have the holes and that the derailleurs don't have black on them. DId you date the components yet? Hope about some close-ups of the derailleurs?

Sweet fine, look at all the pretty chrome, love that old dura ace! I wish someone could make reproduction chainringss just like that, they are so gorgeous. Seems there are tons of old stock campagnolo chainrings but no shimano, its not fair!

Me too, though I'm must admit I have a accumulated a few "old" shimano chainrings from bikes I've flipped.

that's a very interesting frame, and a marque I've never heard of. I like the "moderne" lugs and forkcrown...obviously they've been "styled" but the frame is still very traditional, just pushing the envelope a little. Another example of how some brands just embraced the "new stuff" from Shimano with both arms, while others would not touch it.

Another 1970's Norta ('top racer' model) before re-build. Very nice 'gios' blue, Ishiwata 022 tubing, mostly dura-ace, some parts to be replaced and a lot of cleaning to do (they always look much cleaner in a photo than in the flesh, don't they).
Yes, Norta was (and still is) one of the biggest belgian brands in sales-terms. Though they mainly produced city-bikes and sponsored only one pro-team (1978 Fragel-Norta team), their racing bikes where usually very well made.

Very nice bicycle. I would like to see more Norta, Groene Leeuw, Plum and other. Doubt whether will ever start collecting them, as I can't collect everything and I have to preserve some kind of focus, but it would be nice to learn more of fine Belgian bicycles.

That is a very sharp looking bike! I love frames made of Ishiwata 022 though I have only ever owned one. Great score, and it looks like a keeper to me!

Nice bike! Lots of interesting stuff been made in Belgium. Besides the obvious names it seems that there were/are also quite a few other frame builders who delivered to other brands, at least in Holland (Vittorio, Jan Janssen, Snel).
