We just started to binge on Lilyhammer on Netflix. how could i have missed this show (first released in 2012). Steven Van Zandt is awesome as Giovanni! he does mob so well! its that Jersey in him I guess!

We started watching Men In Kilts on Starz. It's a travel show of Scotland featuring two of the stars from Outlander. Pretty fun with great shots of the Scottish countryside.

Eat. Race. Win. A really good show on Amazon Prime about Australia's Orica-Scott team Tour the France race in 2017(?) and the nutrition that went in to fueling the team. Highly recommend the show.

Half way through Banshee right now, and floored how fun and unique this show is. I believe it's Cinemax's highest rated show. Warrior (also by Cinemax) was very good too, both on HBO Max.

I got sucked into watching Twin Peaks. Still holds up pretty well. I'll probably stop after the Laura Palmer murder is solved. It kind of goes off the rails for the rest of season 2.
Also watching Children's Hospital. It is a Adult Swim series twisted take on hospital dramas. Pretty amusing.

Making my way though The Man in the High Castle. So far I am enjoying the show. I find myself getting sucked in to all of the little subplots taking place. The acting and the scripting writing is well done.

Servant (AppleTV) is an M. Night Shyamalan series, where each episode has kind of a little dark twist, as you'd expect from this director. And Ron Weasley does an excellent job in an adult role.

The missus and I recently started (re-)watching the Star Trek: The Next Generation series in chronological order. That show came out right around the time we first met and started dating, so we figured it would bring back some fond nostalgia.
We're up to Season 2, Episode 21 so far ...and I think we may have overestimated how entertaining "fond nostalgia" would be. Holy crap is there some cheesy writing on that show!

Trending today is a Korean series titled "Vicenzo", which indeed is a must watch series. The story is about a man, member of mafia, whose agenda is to redeem the old building situated in the center plaza. However, problem encountered are the tenants who are actively doing their business there and a company named Babel Group, who on the otherhand would like to demolish and construct a new building. Absolutely 10/10.

We are re-watching True Blood. It's all over the place. I don't want to say bad, but it sure isn't good. Sort of along the lines of an actually R rated daytime drama, with vampires instead of black widows....lol.

I'm rewatching Dirk Gently's Holistic Detective Agency on Hulu. It was originally broadcast on BBC America about 5 years ago. Hard to describe what it is. Partially goofy, funny and violent at times.

Finally finished it up, every single ST:TNG episode in chronological order through the Season 7, Episode 26 finale! Man, talk about a labor of love...that was almost painful.
But fun too. Man, Worf is a hoot! what's Michael Dorn been up to these last 30-something years?

None of the recent series I'd like to watch are available yet on Amazon Prime, so I've been re-watching The X-Files in syndication. I watched the entire series, start to finish when it originally aired and never missed an episode (although I had to set up the VCR a few times). And I've rewatched every episode at least three times over the years, although the last time I watched was a decade ago.
I'm surprised how well it holds up now. It doesn't feel dated at all. Can't say that about some shows I enjoyed in the first run, but which didn't hold up well over time (such as Miami Vice).
If anything some of the episodes are more relevant now than ever, particularly the political, cultural and superstition oriented stories. In some respects it seems as if today's obsession with paranoid conspiracies was actually instigated by The X-Files, with people who don't realize they're simply reinventing X-Files plots... which themselves were derived from, inspired by or lifted outright from earlier generations of conspiracy theories, and myths about UFOs.
