Question Campark ACT74 action camera

Any other users of this little "beauty" ? Yes I know I shouldn't be so "frugal" and then disappointed with the product. The user manual is very incomplete to put it mildly and I was amazed how much better the German translation is .... it is actually understandable. Unlike the Chinglish version.
That aside anyone else have a problem saving the date setting? All the other settings seem to take, but the date seems to revert back to the mfg year and day.

Appreciate any pointers to make it work. TIA

HJ

PS perhaps I could just download the %^#@ segments after every outing and rename them.

It's the "You get what you pay for" effect.
I've noticed that the CamPark merchandise is no longer listed on Amazon in Canada or the USA. Hmmm
As regards the problem, according to CamPark CS that's their "design",.In other words while one gets two batteries with the camera one is well advised to charge/recharge them "in camera" to avoid the reset of the date/time.
While the firmware may differ at the bottom end of the price scale, best to check that out before ordering extra batteries.

Or better yet buy a product at a higher price point with a few extra features. A better make/model should show up by the weekend.
At least I have a very fine assortment of mounting accessories to go with either of the two.
